Das Ausstellungs- und Buchprojekt acker * arable land thematisiert die Wachstums-
prozesse der Natur. Ich zeige wie die landwirtschaftliche Einflussnahme des Menschen
im Zusammenwirken mit den Naturkräften Kulturlandschaft formt. Die Bilder sind auf
einem kleinen Demeter - Gemüsebetrieb im Ruhrgebiet in den Jahren 1999 - 2004
entstanden. Dieser wird von einem Ehepaar im Alter von 75 und 78 Jahren seit ihrer
Pensionierung vor 20 Jahren, biologisch - dynamisch bewirtschaftet. Bei ihrer Arbeit
werden sie von einem 75- jährigen Freund tatkräftig unterstützt.
Das Thema dieser Arbeit gliedert sich in drei Ebenen: Das Verhältnis des Menschen
zur Natur, eine ermutigende Auseinandersetzung mit dem Alter und der Lebens -
rhythmus der Jahreszeiten.
Das Photoprojekt acker * arable land rückt die Bedeutung einer naturverträglichen
Landwirtschaft, die gesundheitlich einwandfreie Nahrungsmittel auf lebendiger Erde
erzeugt, in das Bewusstsein der Betrachter.
acker * arable land besteht aus 88 Photographien - 75 à 30x40cm präsentiert in
40 x 50cm Holzrahmen +13 à 60x70cm, aufgezogen auf Alubond in Holzrahmen -
andere Formate sind möglich.

The exhibition and bookproject acker * arable land follows the cycle of the seasons
reflecting on the human
relationship to nature. I portray a 75 and 78 year old retired
couple, who together with a friend of 75 years, have farmed organically (biodynamic)
for 20 years. These photographs show people who realize their dreams and are also
very open minded. My interests are focused on their affinity with the growing of their
plants and animals. I portray the organic process of life and work, striving to give a
positive insight into getting old.
The political goal of ecologically friendly farming ( producing crops on rich, chemical
free soil ) is brought into the viewers awareness through the photographs in the
acker * arable land . The exhibition consists of 88 photographs. - 75 à 30x40cm
presented in 40 x 50cm woodenframes +13 à 60x70cm mounted on alubond in
woodenframes - other sizes are possible on demand.
